Founded in 1982 by Ron Kligerman, SCS Flooring Systems soon became a major presence in the Los Angeles market. By 1995, SCS had enjoyed enormous growth and was ready for the jump in volume brought by Kligerman's expansion into Orange County with the purchase of Metro Floor Coverings, a prominent local flooring contractor. In 1999, SCS secured new corporate offices in Los Angeles and opened a San Diego branch, making SCS a three-location organization exceeding $30m in annual sales volume.

Geoff Gordon, now President of SCS, joined Ron Kligerman in April, 2003 and assumed responsibility for the daily operations of the Company after 10 years as Designweave Commercial Carpet's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. So far, Geoff has seen SCS volume increase to over $40m in annual sales. Even though SCS has grown to be one of the nation's largest independently owned flooring contractors, they remain intent on continuing the tradition of providing the same personalized service that Ron did in 1982.
